The international education sector has a tendency to “slip through the cracks” in this country, and that’s something that the International Education Association of Australia’s new chief plans to change. Phil Honeywood, IEAA’s new chief executive, started in the job last week, a move he said was a natural progression. Honeywood was Victoria’s minister for tertiary education and training and multicultural affairs under Jeff Kennett in the mid-’90s, and more recently has worked as marketing director and CEO of two private international higher education colleges.
