While I’m excited to hear about this research, and give my respect to the scientists involved, their incredibly hard work, dedication and innovation, I’m very disappointed in this sentence: “Two scientists at Macquarie University have discovered a revolutionary way to treat and cure Alzheimer’s disease, the leading cause of death for women and the second leading cause of death of all Australians.” It’s very misleading – they have not found a cure for Alzheimer’s, they have had some success in trials with mice. As a university related publication, you should be ashamed at raising false hopes such as this and providing such misleading tag lines in news stories.
