Uni position for former thinker-in-residence

Former Adelaide thinker-in-residence Professor Goran Roos is joining the University of Adelaide to help the development of research and education promoting innovation in the business and manufacturing sector. Roos has been appointed adjunct professor with the university’s Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC) and will chair its external advisory board and help build the centre’s research profile and engagement with industry and community. Roos was invited to Adelaide last year as the 20th thinker-in-residence to help the state government create a vision and strategy for a renewed manufacturing sector for South Australia. He is one of the founders, and a recognised world expert, of modern intellectual capital science. He has advised many government bodies in Europe and Australia on issues relating to strategy, research and development, national and regional systems issues, knowledge management and intellectual capital. Roos has served in management positions in several European and US-based corporations. He will present his first ECIC lecture, The Role of Universities in a Modern Regional Manufacturing Innovation System, on May 22.
